*Promoting Tribal Sovereignty has moved far beyond maintaining tribal hunting and fishing rights. While those concerns endure, access decent health care, voting booths, jobs, and most particularly home ownership is rising to greater significance. And yet, tribal strategies to expand their housing stock have not taken advantage of two significant changes in the Federal-Tribal relationship; the emergence of a significant Native American veteran population and the recent ability of Native veterans to obtain home ownership on trust land. *Montana & Associates designed this seminar to inform tribal leaders, officials and Native veterans on how to implement the seeds that promote long term cultural vitality. This course includes discussions on the mandatory Memorandum of Understanding, Trust Lease Agreements, program benefits, and other issues of interest to every Tribe with even one veteran.
