Course Description
* All Tribal Water Codes must be all-inclusive & prepared with a comprehensive water policy, planning and management for future generations – as water is the life-blood of Native Americans. Today more than ever in our history , we as Native Americans need to realize the crisis situation most tribes today are confronted in relationship to water management and conservation. * Adequately and comprehensively developed and drafted Water Management Codes/Ordinance is imperative to the future generations of our nations. This course will in a common and plain approach allow tribes, pueblos, rancherias, bands and nations to develop a Water Management Code/Ordinance that will efficiently and effectively assist the tribal entity in future water management purposes and goals. * This Course is a working seminar, in other words participants will through-out the course be required to at a minimum, develop a working out-line for their individual tribal water management code. Thus, Montana & Associates suggests that each participant bring with them copies of their governing documents, treaties or executive orders relating to their individual tribal entities. Should you be working on amending and revising your present Water Management Code/Ordinance, then it is as well suggested you bring a copy of said Code/Ordinance.
