Course Description

*Housing in Indian Country has become a paramount issue for tribal governments today. Increased revenues from varying enterprises have allowed tribes the ability to increase adequate housing areas for their membership. However, many native Americans, continue to struggle for better housing and live in deplorable conditions. * Housing issues and understanding NAHASDA and Home Buyer Counseling are issues and are important areas of consideration for all tribal governments. * This course is offered to assist in the training of tribal officials, housing boards and the membership at-large, that are now dealing with housing issues at the tribal level. With NAHASDA has come new opportunities for tribal members own their own homes. Many tribal members have never owned their own home and now will have that opportunity. **Attending this Seminar will assist tribal governments in effectively and efficiently implementing these complex housing programs.
